It all begins with an idea.
Welcome to Whiskey Burl Woodworking Co., where passion, craftsmanship, and creativity come together to create one-of-a-kind furniture. My name is Travis, and I’ve been designing and building custom furniture since discovering my love for woodworking while growing up on my family’s ranch.
Woodworking first captured my interest in my father’s shop, where we fixed and built things for the ranch. My passion for the craft truly ignited in 2018 after watching projects from the Woodness Goodness YouTube channel. One of my first builds, a TV stand, still sits proudly in my home as a reminder of how far I’ve come.
In 2022, I took a big step forward by purchasing my first home, complete with a small shop where I could truly call the space my own. With years of experience, the knowledge passed down from my father, and a deep respect for the craft, I officially launched Whiskey Burl Woodworking Co. The name, which my fiancé Rachel suggested, reflects my appreciation for rugged beauty and natural elegance—values that inspire every piece I create.
Located in Aubrey, Texas, my shop is where custom ideas take shape into handmade furniture that tells a story. Whether it’s a statement piece for your home or a functional addition to your workspace, I take pride in building furniture that’s as unique as the people who own it.
When I’m not in the shop, you can find me traveling the world with Rachel, a commercial pilot, and our two dogs, Leroy and Ziva. We enjoy off-roading in our dune buggy and capturing the world through photography, a hobby that has also enhanced my ability to showcase my work.
I’d love to create something custom for your home or business. Let’s bring your vision to life with a handmade piece that blends timeless craftsmanship with modern style.
Thank you for stopping by, and I can’t wait to work with you!

A Unique Story in Every Slab
Every slab of wood I work with has its own story to tell. The grain patterns, colors, and textures reflect years of growth, ensuring no two tables are ever the same. Your piece will truly be one of a kind.
