This list is not sponsored but does contain affiliate links. This means I get a small percentage of purchases made if you click the link provided. If you don’t like that, I suggest avoiding every gift guide on the entire internet! This list has several cheap items as well as some middle range price items. If you are a woodworker, I suggest sending this to friends or family, or leaving this post conspicuously opened where your loved one is likely to see it!

Katz-Moses Dovetail Jig

This thing is great for a woodworker looking to expand their abilities in hand tool work. This jig is used to keep the saw at the proper angle for cutting dovetails. You don’t have to know what dove tails are, just know they are an advanced woodworking joint and a rite of passage for a woodworker. This jig makes starting to learn dovetails so much easier! As a bonus, Katz-Moses is a small independent woodworker and YouTuber.

Not sure whether to choose the 6:1 or 8:1 Dovetail Jig? KM Tools recommends the 6:1 for softwoods and the 8:1 for hardwoods, but either one can really be used for any type of wood. The 6:1 just cuts a slightly steeper angle on the sides of the tails.

Medallion Maker

Many woodworkers use a hot iron brand for their work, but we can do better than that! Medallion Maker makes several different kinds of medallions, including metal and wood. They come in several different shapes and sizes. You really can’t go wrong here by picking any of his products. I would highly suggest getting the template and router bit from him to make installation much easier. I am not sponsored by Medallion Maker and get nothing from him, but I recommend him so highly because of how good his work is.

Cordless Glue Gun

A cordless glue gun is such a versatile tool. There are several brands, but I really like this Ryobi one. The base is charged with a normal Ryobi battery. It will make your woodworkers’ life easier as they will not have to find a place to plug in a glue gun and wait for it to heat up. A glue gun is used in the shop for many purposes, such as gluing boards to a sled for their planer, creating dam’s for epoxy pours, and temporarily holding pieces together. Your woodworker would be very happy about this tool!

Glue Bot

A common problem with most wood glue bottles is they gum up as they are used, meaning there is a whole cleaning process each time they want to glue something up. Think of a condiment bottle, how the spout can get the condiment all over it and then dry. You must clean that up, so it doesn’t get in your food! Well, the GlueBot is an ingenious glue dispenser that keeps glue fresh and ready at all times. Don’t worry if your woodworker already has one, they can always use more. I have personally own several of these for all the different types of glue I have.

Bandy Clamps

When building anything with plywood, your woodworker has those ugly edges to deal with. Yes, they can use the cheap iron on edge banding that everyone hates and just looks cheap. To really step up your woodworkers game, Rockler’s Bandy Clamps allow your woodworker to use true hardwood to cover those ugly edges really bringing their pieces to the next level.

Rockler Dust Right Flexiport Hose

Every woodworker wants to keep a clean shop and keep all of that sawdust from entering their lungs. If your woodworker uses a shop vacuum, the Rockler Dust Right FlexiPort hose kit allows them to use quick connects on many different tools to keep their shop and lungs clean! I have been using this for years and it is invaluable!

Rockler Hose Clamps

If you want to go a step further for your woodworker, these hose clamps go with the dust hose from above. They provide an extra adjustable rubber loop to hold your hose and then it clamps to the work surface. These are a game changer!

Lumber Racks

Every woodworker needs good storage for their hardwood lumber. These lumber racks are easy to install and very sturdy as they are metal. They get the wood up off the ground and stored in a proper manner.

Bow Featherboard

Featherboards are an extra hand in the shop. They can be used on a variety of tools including a bandsaw or a table saw. They help put constant pressure to a piece of wood and free’s up your woodworkers extra hand to ensure they are as safe as possible. With this brand, the tips are made of foam and replaceable if they get damaged or wear out.

Fast Cap Tape Measure

Not all tape measures are created equally. And Fast Cap makes excellent tape measures. There are several different kinds from this company, but I recommend two of them. The green label has markings on both sides with it labeled up to 1/16” of an inch. This is great for day-to-day use. A more specific case use is the grey label, which is a flat tape measure. This is used more for short distances but allow for more accurate markings as the tape measure is not curved. Your woodworker will be happy with any of these you get them!
